Gestalts

Out of all the possible Gestalts that could potentially appear in the film (or potential sequels), which of the following would you like to see THE MOST? Also, which ever one you pick, post who (doesn't have to be another Gestalt necessarily) you'd like to see that Gestalt paired up with in a battle.

Note: I included all that I could remember which happens to be the maximum number of choices in a poll for this forum. 10. I included ones that came later in G1, etc., for fair game.

I chose Devastator (real surprise there!) and I'd love to see him paired up against the Dinobots. (Ideas posted in various other threads here...enjoy searching.

In the first movie? None of the above. I wouldn't want to see any of the Gestalts in movie one.

For a sequel I voted for Predaking, simply because he's my favourite Gestalt.

That's why I also stated for potential sequels since I know some of us would not like to see gestalts in the first movie. Was just thinking of you Sermon, and others, in hopes I could get you to vote too.

Predaking was a very cool gestalt, and bigger than previous ones as far as the toy goes. Who would you like to see him paired up against in a battle?

I would have to say Devastator, and i voted for him, as he was pretty much the first gesalt! and he should be paired up against the dinobots, for a really good battle.

I would love to see Devastator in the first movie since the Constructicons have been around since the beginning. Just the thought of seeing him fighting the Dinobots or especially Omega Supreme would have me in the theatres for the first showing.

Of course I'm going to be there anyway.

Well, this one is a tough one for me. I finally found a character Sermon and I both like. Predaking! So I'm a HUGE Predaking fan, but I'm also a HUGE Bruticus fan. They are my favorite Guestalts along with Superion.

I'm having a hard time just choosing one of them. Now on the other hand, for some reason I expect if any were to make it, it would be the Constructicons. After all, when the Transformers frist come to Earth, the Constructicons would be EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY important to help set up a Decepticon front on Earth since they are builders. Any culture the Decepticons make for themselves, I would imagine the Constructicons making possible, including building the space bridge so there are passage ways from Earth to Cybertron (Think Star Trek).

That's not to say Devastator would be my choice. I just think they would be the most logical and useful for the first movie if there is more than one and this is the pilot.

Now, process of elimination. Aerialbots are Autobots and we already have plenty of those to choose from. Dinobots and all, so that eliminates them.

So that leaves My 2 favorite Decepticon Titans....Bruticus and Predaking. As much as I love Predaking, I'm siding with Bruticus because just like the construcons, I think they'd be more practical and satisfy some of the "realism buffs". They are Military heavy artilary equipment and a story to introduce them seems kind of easy since those things are so common, especialy when the TFs are in warfare, and warriors that can transform like them are needed.

Plus Bruticus is just cool. I always loved how he looked, and how he talked kind of softly, yet he still had something cool to say. "Bruticuss...Devastaaate.....DEVASTATORRRR!" Plus he was one of the most powerful of all Guestalts. He beat up on all the other Decepticons Guestalts. And he was so bad, even the Decepticons had to lock up the Combaticons for millions of years! The Decepticons of all people!

Initially, I wasn't sure about including any gestalts in the movie (at least the first), but thinking about it, it does make sense that the Constructicons would have been around since pretty early in the proceedings.

Working on that principle, I'd like to see Devastator tearing his way through the finalé. As for his opponent(s): the Dinobots are an obvious choice, or alternatively Jetfire...

There's got to be a ding dong between the Dinobots and Devastator. That would be one of the major rumbles of the film. If one isn't in there then both should be left out and saved for a sequel because I think their battles are too big a deal. it would be like having Laurel without hardy or Blair without Bush.

Well I think it is pretty obvious who I'm voting for!

I would love to see Devastator wreak havoc! And my obvious choice for him to fight would be the Dinobots without a doubt. I don't think I can survive the movie without hearing atleast once "Me Grimlock Bash Brains!"

I would like to see them in the first movie because it would add an element of extreme conflict, in every movie there needs to be conflict. And near the end of the second act is where your hero's seem to be at their darkest hour, where you don't think they can survive, well how about having Devastator clearing house on the Autobots and it's not until Ratchet shows up with the newly created Dinobots to stop him for that final moment. I think it would be really intense!

I have an even BETTER idea, what if to throw the Transfans off, the Dinobots themselves are a gestalt team? and they fight Devestator? Anybody want to think of a name for the dinobots combined form?

We mentioned this in the new combiner thread and I'll repeat what I said, I don't wanna see the Dinobots as a combiner because I felt that they were strong enough seperately to fight off the big guys.

here's another idea about gestalt forms, what if the gestalts also have an ALTERNATE mode in their combined forms?

Devestator could be: a giant hover tank, dreadnaught, weapons platform, etc...

and the Dinobots in their combined form could be: giant monster, dragon, weapons fortress, etc...

come on guys and gals think of something, I can't come up with all the good ideas and names, I need you, I NEED YOU!!!!!

If they keep adding all these new alternate modes and stuff then your not using the ACTUAL G1 CHARACTERS its just new characters and that is not what Mr. Murphy and Mr. DeSanto are intending to do. They don't want to reinvent the Transformers.

For a laugh I would like to see someone try, just to see how long it takes for him to pass out. There's a CGI guy sitting at a desk somewhere and someone hands him the task of creating six robots with the ability to transform into real-life vehicles, then combine to form another robot, THEN that robot must be able to transform into a hover tank. I don't think they should be included in the first movie but i do think if you are going to go down this route, this should be the first big battle.

I think Devastator is the best choise for the movie on the grounds that Devastator was a prototype (and the coolest) and subsiquently copyed.

It's not that I don't want to see other Combiners but in the first movie they should really stick to the original one. And besides only showing off one now could increase demand to see more in a second movie!

If Devastator should indeed be in the movie I wouldn't want him to fight another combiner team or the Dinobots, I'd really like to see the "normal" Autobots team up and fight against him. I think it would be a great experience to see the Autobots work as a team, gang up against Devastator and with their combined force defeat him.
