Update:

So we got back to work this week and we find out Bay and production has been prepping the entire movie off of our pre-strike outline! The very one we turned in the night before the strike.

Too early to tell. We had two weeks on the outline. We're still going through the prep schedule to find out what has been prepped so far down the road that it can be changed and what can't.

He essentially transferred our outline into screenplay format and came up with some really fun gags and a few descriptions of the kind of hardware he will need for production.

what does prepping include? location scouting? bot designs? etc?
well, i hope this doesn't hinder you in adding things that were in your head that you couldn't put down on paper while the whole strike was going on.
bay does mention there is more characterizations with the bots, so kudos for that if its true!

What's this about a 'geriatric'? Was Bay just trying to be funny?

Yeah, in an interview. He said 'we've got a geriatric robot'. A lot of people just think he was trying to be funny in regards to the strike.

aaah...ic.
well seems positive info to me. but not sure what bay's type of humor is. i appreciated some of the dialogue in the first movie so if you guys can improve on that i would be extremely happy. there are some sci-fi movies that have the worst dialogue (SWI-III) and some that just blow my mind (Matrix 1, Bladerunner). I thought the first TF was in the middle there somewhere on quality of dialogue.

Yes, he did say that one of the robots was a geriatric. If this is true, make him Kup. Or Wreck-Gar. Wreck-Gar would be fun too.

Anyway, what is the human to robot screen time ratio this go around? How many new human characters will be introduced? How many new robot characters? And by robot characters, I mean ones with lines, not background characters. Do we find out what happened to Barricade in this one? If yes, good. If no, see first answer and change accordingly. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, will there be a evil floating mass shifting tape deck robot, or will he remain a blender?

Hey Roberto, you probably can't answer much, but let's try this one.

Will every robot that survived movie one (Ah, see what I did there? Some we may think didn't did...) show up in movie 2?
