What happened to barricade was "implied" in the first film. Nobody would be bitching if other mediums, as well as a leaked script, hadn't had him getting killed by prime. His "disappearance" was no more noteworthy than Scorponok not coming back after running away.

That being said, he was a kick ass character and one I'd like to see return. Technically, "what happened to him" being implied could just mean he makes an appearance and thus he must have run away and survived.

No, I really don't think we would be bitching about it. We'd all be wondering if he was coming back but it was pretty much the same as Scorpy.

He got his ass handed to him, ran away, and then we saw one shot of him with the other decepticons, but he never made an appearance in the combat. So...he ran away again. It's unfortunate, and it definitely would have been better had they not included the shots of him during the role call or on the highway, but it's still simple: he didn't show up at the battle therefore he ran away.

Had we not known what was originally written, I think we'd all be like "we never actually saw him fight so he must have run from Prime" and be looking forward to him in movie #2.

And really...nothing in what Roberto said would rule out this exact thing from happening. It's implied what happened to him...ok. But that's not an answer to "will he be back." It's an answer to "will we find out what really happened during that highway battle."

It could be that he will be implied to be dead by some short dialog, or it could be implied that he got away when he shows up and starts wreckin' shit.

I never got what happened anyway. What was the deal with Barricade. Was his death scene that made it into the novelization cut for budget reasons? Page count? Simply forgotten? Was his role call line meant to be in the movie or should it have been cut and his role ended after Bumblebee defeated him, ala Scorponok?

Because the Code Breakers were much more important than scenes relevant to the actual plot.

Could not say that i enjoyed the game, the game play was SO repetitive/boring. some elements appealed to me like parts of the story , theme, tone, action were great.

Either way, this could mean that one of the Autobots mentioning that they killed him a short while ago during a conversation.

Or we could get an opening scene with him getting killed right quick by the military using thier new "secret weapons" against transformers.

Or the military could have HIM capturned and turned him into a lab rat.

In the book, after the fight with Bonecrusher, Barricade comes charging at Optimus and Optimus flings him into a cement pylon and kills him by snapping him in two.

From what I understand, that's what Ironhide and Ratchet were for. They were providing cover fire for Sam, keeping any wayward Decepticons off his ass.

Remember when Optimus finishes off Bonecrusher, then looked around for Barricade? Perhaps Barricade tried to attack him, but Prime wipe him out.

What I don't get though, is why the Alliance and ROS comics have Barricade in them, if he isn't in the film? I think it'd be a huge waste to just have him killed or captured, then never heard from again. He was one of the few Decepticons in TF1 that got lines, so I'd think that'd make him an important character.

Roberto, I'm starting to like the idea of Demolishor being a Decepticon defending other smaller ones, and them being on the run chased by Autobots. Is this maybe something from the movie itself, or is this just something Hasbro came up for the bios, and it won't be stated in the film directly?

Although I am not Roberto, I can guess that this may be part of the film. The way the bios interlink together, it makes me think that this element is featured in the movie.
Wonder how many Cons are hiding from the Autobots though, we've only seen two...
