I just thought we should take this time to pay homage to our good friend Gawl. Well he had such an impact on this board during his short unbanned stay. There were good days when we'd all frolic in the goodness that is G1 Transformers, talking about something we all love to varying degrees, slapping eachother on the back in congratulation of a great idea, making daisy chains and rolling around in the grass, laughing joyfully at the guy who rolled in a cow pat, musing on the future of this hopeful franchise..........and there were bad days when he would threaten to kill us and send us to hell, but lets not be negative. What are your fondest memories of our ol' pal Gawl?

I remember Gawl/Danbei always reciting lines from episodes of the original Transformers cartoon.

He must've been watching them 24 hours a day.:p

The best was when Danbei and Blippertron had their feud. Now that was hilarious!:D

One of the few posts here that actually made me laugh was one of Danbei's. Someone criticised his inability to end a sentance with anything other than an exclamation mark or three. His response was something like: "Hey! I'm an emotional guy!!!"

I was quite surprised when I found out he'd been banned - what did he do?

I must admit I wan't amused until I realised it was a retard putting on an act, but when I found out he was Gawl it was open season as far as I was concerned.

My favorite memory was taunting Danbei with different off-the-wall alt modes for the Transformers in this movie, such as a Jellyfish and Submarine for Megatron, and Optimus Prime as a Sea Slug :p

Don: Don’t know - Tom Desanto thinks it should. Too early to tell. Come to think of it there will be many snobby celebs that have a Murphy attitude complex like mine. Just in time for the set.

TFormers: What known actors/actresses would you like to see in the movie?

Don: I just want good ones whether known or not. I also want them to be as talented as me. {Danbei saying: How can say that you have talent, if you pretended be to a creep in one of your movie productions. You are just being yourself on screen.}

TFormers: The Transformers: Alternators line has many auto licenses secured for the TF brand. Are these same licenses being explored for the movie, and if so, could we expect to see some of the Alternator designs in the movie. As you have previously stated auto licenses are being explored for alt. modes?

Don: YES. YES. YES. It's going to be a watered down G1 that supposely is mostly an all-star Nas-car like Alternator movie of both Autobots and Decepticons. The robots actually happened to be in the background. As guest stars. And the human drivers like Jeff Gordon will do the leading parts as in driving the cars.

TFormers: What role does Takara have, if any, in the development of the movie?

Don: None. They don’t own the thing anymore - Hasbro controls everything I believe. Which means that Megatron is going to be some water down tank that looks like Decepticon Brawl and Blitzwing. Or maybe a canon that looks like Galvatron. {Cyclonus31 saying "I love the Galvatron canon idea Don!}

TFormers: Will there be any elements that appeal specifically to young children (10 and under)?

Don: No. I always believe you get the 14-16 Star Wars audience (the good films) and you get everybody. Come to think of it. It starts with the kiddies. So of course we are going to make something that looks like a Barney kiddie show. {Maybe Don will get Barney to do Grimlock in the sequels. Attually Blippertron suggested it.}

TFormers: Is there one character in particular you are looking forward to exploring on the big screen?

Don: Optimus Prime of course. Looking like a dump truck this time like Constructicon Long Haul. Instead of a Freightliner.

TFormers: What character do you think would hold the greatest on-screen presence?

Don: Bumblebee. Not as a Volkswagon Beatle ,but as an SUV like Brawn. Cause of licensing problems.

TFormers: Most adult fans are driven by their desire to collect the toys. Have you had any experience with them? If so, what's your two cents on Transforming toys and the collectors?

Don: Actually, I mostly like the shows and the cartoons. Like Armada,Energon etc. that feature snobby annoying characters that remind me of myself like HotShot.

TFormers: Will the location(s) be specific to any region on the world or US?

Don: American Southwest {like in Murphy's pig pin in the hills somewhere, instead of the state of Washington. Where Mt St. Helens is located. Murphy will have that Cgi-ed by his crafty director and best friend Oliver Stone.}

TFormers: Is there a possibility that Cybertron will be seen at some point?

Don: Yes. Afterwards when the movie is about to end instead of the very begining.

TFormers: You mentioned a while back that there will be "core" members of each side of the conflict ... how has that progressed?

Don: Very well indeed. There will be mostly new characters that didn't belong in G1. Like Rattrap,Bludgeon,and Hotshot etc. To spice it up some. Wonkamus Major suggested it to me.

TFormers: Are there any characters that you wanted to include, but could not? N. Any characters that may be unexpected, but that you think will bring a "wow" reaction from the viewer?

Don: That would be telling. Opps I think I already told ya! Haven't I said mostly characters that are from other newer Transformers series that don't belong in G1.

TFormers: Will there be exploration of the Transformers origins in movie.

Don: Yes new origins. Earth will be the new home of the Transformers instead of Cybertron. And Instead of them being created by the Quintessons. They will be created this time by a mad genious like Dr. Archville for his evil plans to dominate the Earth.

TFormers: How detailed do you think that will be?

Don: Enough detail, people will know that it will be revamped to my liking ,and not theirs. Cause I call the shots. After all I'm it's producer.

TFormers: The G1 movie is famous, and somewhat infamous, for it's decidedly 80's hair metal soundtrack, What can we expect this movie's music to be like? Rap, Hard rock, Metal, techno, or what?

Don: Way too early to tell - I’d guess score but who knows? Then again it's going to have a Greatful Dead soundtrack. Instead of the usual G1 electronica stuff. That way it gives it more of a hip edge. My friend Bill Walton shared with me this vision of his. So I found it appealing ,and I'm going to have it in the movie.

TFormers: What one thing so far has you the most excited just from your own personal opinion?

Don: Finding out in a meeting that Spielberg knows the mythology stone cold perfectly. But Steven Speilberg isn't going to direct it. It's just going to be branded with his name of approval. I'm paying him $100,000,000 just for that. So it means a whole lot. I attually want by best friend Oliver Stone to direct it ,and make it out into an epic like his recent film Alexander.

TFormers: Is there a chance we may see female-bots appear in the movie?

Don: Always a chance for female go-ld dig-ger bim-bo-li-nas to appear like Ana Nicole. {Danbie suggesting: Robots are sexless, bad idea.}

TFormers: Are you planning a "big-bad" so to speak, be it a character or other danger, past the core characters of each side?

Don: No but anyways with me as being the producer. It will be a big bad movie as in awful. Just look at my other comic book movies for reference. {Don website stooges saying: It's a bet for sure! Oh Thankyou Don. It wouldn't be possible without you!}

TFormers: Will the characters, within the core teams and past, include only G1 characters? Or can we look forward to cameos or even roles by characters from other series as well?

Don: There are already many G1 characters that will get short shrift so let’s stick with them. The humans are going to get the big shift instead. So no worries! {Chokkie saying I'm worried as heck alright. This guy is going to ruin it as did Schumaker ruined the Batman franchise.I just see it coming. It's an omen!}
